Biography
After 20+ years as an Airline Transport Pilot licensed Captain, receiving numerous honors and achievements, including work with NASA and the Computers in the Cockpit programs, Bill hung up his wings and focused exclusively on the computer and consumer electronics industries. This change led to consulting such notable companies as Toshiba, Canon, Nestlé, Motorola, eMachines, SAP and numerous dot.coms both directly and through his company, The Flight House, providing aviation related software and computer industry services since it's founding in 1979.
His focused work on digital convergence started in 1993 with automated, computer driven communications systems for home use. This was expanded to audio and finally video media as well as home automation & security systems, culminating in the Grand Format TeleVision products and the founding of Martin Labs in 2001.
Bill lives in a fully automated home in Lake Forest, California.
